Welcome back to the Autumn 2 Term

Owls class have been learning about colour in their art lessons. This week we used a technique called pointillism to make firework pictures using complimentary colours. The children gave feedback to each other.

Owls have also been learning about Autumn and Bonfire poetry. We have been out in the woods collecting adjectives, onomatopoeia words and similes to write up into poems. Well done Owls!
Swans have been making poppies ready for a class wreath for Remembrance Day. They also completed some Diwali activities including drawing rangoli patterns in colourful sand and creating rangoli patterns whilst practising their times tables!
Wrens have been looking at shapes in our environment this week. We have found and made shapes everywhere even in the ice.
I hope that you all had a pleasant half-term break.  Advent at The Royal School is a wonderful time of year and we have begun preparations this week!.  Christmas carol practice began earlier in the week. I have been working through all of the events for this term and putting in place a plan to ensure that we limit the risk of spreading covid while ensuring that the children have a wonderful celebration.

The Christmas post box will go out for children to post Christmas cards to each other from the beginning of December.

Save the date!

You will receive further details of these events soon, for now please add them to your diary.
